Welcome to Railway Sleeper Hostel, located in Castlerock, Northern Ireland. By booking a stay with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are intended to provide clarity on our policies and to ensure that your stay with us is comfortable, enjoyable, and safe.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. If you do not agree to them, please refrain from making a booking.
1. Booking Confirmation:
• All bookings must be made via our official website or authorised booking platforms.
• A booking is considered confirmed when you receive a confirmation email from us and payment has been successfully processed in accordance with the booking terms.
2. Payment Terms:
• Full payment for the booking is required before arrival at the hostel, unless stated otherwise during the booking process.
• Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and will not change once your booking has been completed, even if the price of an item changes.
• We accept payment via credit/debit cards, cash, and other methods as indicated on our website.
3. Cancellation Policy:
• Standard Cancellation: You can cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date with no charge.
• Late Cancellation or No Show: If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled arrival or fail to show up, we reserve the right to charge the full amount of your reservation.
• Group Bookings (4 or more people): A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required for group booking cancellations. Failure to provide such notice will result in a charge for the full booking amount.
4. Hostel Rules & Guest Conduct:
To ensure a safe and pleasant stay for all guests, we have the following rules:
• Check-in/Check-out:
o Check-in time is from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Check-out time is by 11:00 AM.
o Early Check-in and late Check-out available for a fee, subject to availability.
o Late Check-in after 9pm must be pre-arranged and approved by management.
o We require valid photo ID at check-in for security and verification purposes. Passport, driving licence or national ID are accepted.
• Quiet Hours: We maintain quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please respect fellow guests by keeping noise to a minimum during these hours.
• Alcohol and Drugs: Alcohol consumption is permitted in designated areas only. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the premises, and violators will be asked to leave without refund.
• Smoking/Vaping: Smoking/Vaping is only allowed in designated outdoor areas. Smoking/Vaping inside the building is strictly prohibited.
• Respect for Others: We ask that all guests treat others with respect and courtesy. Any form of harassment, abusive language, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Offenders may be asked to leave the hostel without refund.
• Personal Belongings: The hostel is not responsible for any lost or stolen personal items. We advise guests to secure their valuables in lockers or safes where provided.
• Minors: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and may only stay in private rooms. Minors are not allowed in shared dormitories.
• Damage & Additional Cleaning: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay. We reserve the right to charge the card on file for the cost of repairs, replacement or additional cleaning if required.
5. Liability & Responsibility:
• Railway Sleeper Hostel is not liable for any injuries, loss, or damage to guests’ personal property during their stay. Guests are responsible for their own safety.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry to any guest or ask any guest to leave if they violate any of our terms and conditions or cause disturbances. No refunds will be given in such cases.
6. Privacy & Data Protection:
• We are committed to protecting your privacy. The personal information you provide during booking will be used solely for processing your reservation and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
• By booking with us, you agree to receive booking-related emails, promotional offers, and information about the hostel. You can opt out of promotional communications at any time.
7. Modification of Terms:
• Railway Sleeper Hostel reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via our website or by email.
• It is your responsibility to review the terms and conditions regularly. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Governing Law:
• These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with your stay at Railway Sleeper Hostel will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Northern Ireland.
9. Force Majeure:
• Railway Sleeper Hostel is not liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or events of force majeure.
